Dr. Nicole Theiss, O.D.
Dr. Nicole Theiss was born and raised in the Toronto area and has always had a passion for education and health. After graduating from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science, she pursued her doctorate at the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.
Dr. Theiss is licensed to practice Optometry in both the United States and Canada, and after working in Boston for a year after school, she moved home to Toronto to be close to family. She is now a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
Dr. Theiss loves to provide eye care to people of all ages, and is particularly interested in ocular disease, dry eye management and binocular vision. She strives to create an approachable, casual environment for her patients, and as an educator by nature, loves to answer any and all of their questions with time and care.
Outside of the office, Dr Theiss enjoys being involved in the community and frequently provides mobile geriatric care in long term care homes. She also travels yearly to the Dominican Republic to oversee Optometry students and provide eye care to underserved populations. Her passion for education also found her involved in teaching and tutoring while at school, and now as a published author of Optometry board exam study guides for students.
When she’s not at work or researching the latest in ocular health and technology, Dr. Theiss enjoys practicing yoga, listening to music, antiquing and hiking.
